Prehistories make objects

Humans have a wonderful ability to perceive some things not like other things. This selection is determined by one's unique experience and memory. Thanks to the personalised mode of perception we create differences between the objects surrounding us and become partial to them. Indifference equalizes all the components of the world turning them into nothing. Fortunately, our innate indicator of differences — a map of preferences — always serves us as a guidebook. It is the meaningful objects that tie us to our life. Let us consider music as an example because music is an opposite of apathy. It is engendered by differences and spreads them itself. Let us suppose that you are listening to some song for the first time. Suddenly you get motionless having caught something familiar. It may be even one note. You realise that once upon a time you were fond of the song that had such note inside. If you are lucky you will recollect what song it is. When you find it and start listening, you will notice that it is not just a song. It will turn into a wave bringing the feelings of your past to your present-day soul. You will breathe it, its sacredness, and the associations coming to its call. And a person listening to this song with you may shrug their shoulders and say that there is nothing particular about this song. Next time the roles will change: a song that is important to this person will seem to you a mere set of sounds that does not stand out of the surrounding sonic environment. The fullness of such experience may be reached when one thing attaches to another one, when different objects are strung together and their light converges at one and the same object that has just been discovered. When you touch such a thing it immediately starts speaking and the text of the speech is taken from your own head. Objects you do not have prehistories for seem to be dim and faceless. We can not live without legends. Each thing should have a name and a description. Then it will have value. It will interact with the I. Only the object with a spacious backstage where grand events happen again and again and outweigh all the current feelings and manipulations with this object possesses such a power. By the way, it may be a person also. We cannot help but make judgements and concepts if we have already begun to get information about somebody. And the less reliable information we have, the more stories about the person we tend to make up (if we are interested in that) sometimes vesting him or her in absolutely extraneous fairytales. In this case, it is better when a mythologised prehistory appears instead of a prejudice or a preconception. Prehistories beautify the world by means of inserting the tiny particles of yourself into its contents. When this happens both the world and you become rich.
